For the last article of the year, I wanted to share this one by Andrew Fisher, How One Organization Can Shorten Food Bank Lines Across the United States Although it centers on hunger, it speaks volumes about the need for all nonprofits to step up and make change in important areas that need impactful results.
Change comes about in a multitude of ways, and in small steps. Grass roots education, empowering our communities through advocacy, storytelling, lobbying--these things can create the change that is needed. And our nonprofits can be at the forefront of the change due to the connections and power that nonprofits have in their communities.
