For months I was packing, moving and then unpacking. It takes a lot of energy, and I’m still not finished. But things are moving back into the normal realm (ok, normal for me!), and in my repeated attempts to clear out my emails, I found a present for me, but also for all of you. This website, linked below, should be of interest to you and anyone you know. And I mean anyone. Businesses who want to inspire their employees toward activism. Yup. Nonprofits, clubs, educational facilities. Yup, yup, yup. And the list goes on. This article is for people who want change but who may not have the moolah, but have the time. It is a small toolkit to get started in activism.
And although PB and K Family Foundation supports ending the hunger issue (along with other important issues!), I can see how this can be used as a guideline or fluid template for any organization, for any issue. A report from the James Irvine Foundation that is posted here on the PB and K Family Foundation website also enforces the idea that activists are needed as they are really only one layer of many who are necessary to influence any issue in the right direction. So please be inspired to be active. And feel free to start your own writing party!
Thanks to Bread.org for having this page. Here is the link for activists that is also from their website.
